Gábor M. Szőke

The old Castle Garden Bazaar (once a casino) has been renovated into a beautiful exhibit hall, and the first artist on display is none other than Gábor Miklós Szőke. Famed for his oversized sculptures of sensational creatures, walking along the Danube now and passing by the Várkert Bazár is now an almost otherworldly experience. I think the photos speak for themselves, and inside had an even bigger surprise—yes, that's a dog in midair (slideshow with added photos below).

You can read more about Gabor and his work here. Or, if you are in Budapest, you can see some of his sensational art in person. There is a beautiful cafe inside as well with good prices.
